LOVE DON'T COST A THING!

They say love don't cost a thing,
They say it flows like a river,
They say it is like a random wind,
They say it's like a flying bird in an open sky,
So free and natural,
But baby when it comes to you,
I find the contrary to be true,
For your love cost me a treasure and a fortune,
But I don't complain, I think I'm opportuned,
For when I think of it,
I realize I didn't buy your love,
All I did was appreciate it,
For the love you showed me, not even riches can buy!

IT'S IN THE WAY YOU WALK II

And now everyday I look at you,
My love for you is renewed,
For your beauty is refreshed,
With each break of dawn,
Your sensual body still makes my heart leap,
I'm just getting to know you,
But the uniqueness in your steps,
And the roll of your luscious rear, makes me love-sick,
And I still know it's in the way you walk.

BLACK PRIDE; ETERNALLY BLACK II

Yes, against all odds have we existed,
Against the fiercest oppositions have we remained,
And when you look at the dusty lanes of the universe,
Our footprints not washed off by the tidal current of times waters, remain diverse,
We stand tall in beauty so sure,
Beauty unrefined and pure,
Through the darkness of brutality and artificiality,
Our black skin shines out with originality,
'Cos through it all, our mothers, strong, birthed a bright and beautiful future,
So our maidens are ravishing in nature,
And our daughters perfect in profile and posture,
Yes we stand tall in leadership undenied,
And celebrate victims recognized,
'Cos when the spotlights come on,
We shall carry on, unafraid and undaunted,
And when the stage is set,
We remain the sure bet,
We walk with a swagger,
And even on a bumpy path would not stagger,
'Cos we refused to be drained,
And we refused to be waned,
And when the history of time is retold to the next generation,
Our story would be told without reservation,
'Cos we ride in a pride we call our own; The Black Pride,
And we live in a skin perpetually ours; so we remain Eternally Black!

I'LL CATCH YOU III

Honey let me be your shield from life's troubles,
And your companion in this world of struggles,
Girl, I know your past still hurts,
But please let me wipe those tears from off your pretty face,
Would you let me be the shade for your sunny days?
The Roof in your rainy days,
And the light in your dark world?
Let me be the one to sit by you in silence,
When you're too grieved to make an utterance,
Would you let me be the bridge from your sorrowful past to your joyful future?
And the oil upon your troubled waters?
And I don't mean this as a boastful claim,
But precious with me you can leap before you look,
'Cos if you fall, I'll be there to catch you.
