From the clasps of slavery,
From the hands of drudgery,
Have we emerged,
Through the dark tunnels of bloody discrimination have we survived,
Out of the sorrowful clouds of inhumanity have we evolved,
A people stronger with pain,
A race glorified in spite of shame now living in much gain,
Our dreams alive on our minds,
Our vision bright in our eyes we can't put behind,
We refused to be drained,
We refused to be waned,
'Cos when the annals of history are opened,
And the chronicles of events recounted,
We shall be celebrated not tolerated,
'Cos we ride in a pride we call our own; The Black Pride,
And we live in a skin perpetually ours;
So we remain Eternally Black!

IT'S IN THE WAY YOU WALK!
I remember when I first saw you,
I was miles away,
But from a distance,
Your skin glistened in the sunlight,
And your face glowed in the brightness of daylight,
We just met,
But the firmness of your steps,
And the sinuous movement of your body,
Made me love-struck,
And now I know it was in the way you walked,
I remember when I first saw you,
You were miles away,
But from a distance,
Your smile was radiant,
And your beauty exuded perfection,
We just met,
But the confidence in your strides,
And the sway of your hips,
Made me dumb-founded,
And now I know it was in the way you walked...

I'LL CATCH YOU II
I promise never to leave you by yourself,
For it's in you I find my true self,
And when life deals you a tough hand,
I promise I'll be by your side to lend you a helping hand,
To hold you close and comfort you,
To tuck you in at night with a love song,
To kiss you good night with a love story,
As I watch you fall asleep in the safety of my arms,
And when it's the break of dawn,
I'll be there to say "goodmorning",
And I really don't mean this as a boastful claim,
But with me you can leap before you look,
'Cos if you fall, I'll be there to catch you!

A BLURRED REALITY III
They stifled the era of the messianic,
Frustrated the powers and prowess of the people,
And ushered the reign of the "oligarchic",
They manipulated the gullibility of the masses, and their dreams crippled,
And took advantage of the people's pliability,
Inimically and gradually they took away our freedom,
And gave us a blurred reality,
Their appearance disgust me,
Their pretence irritates me,
I'm enraged by their pride and arrogance,
For while our labors enrich them,
Our plights doesn't touch them,
In a country of my own,
A land my forefathers fought to enthrone,
Everywhere I turn deception is sown,
I don't even know who and what to believe,
For everywhere I look,
Conceit and deceit is conceived,
And the very people we trusted,
Have crushed our beings,
And into our souls bitterness have thrusted,
I just wish a wind of liberation,
Will blow over my nation,
And erase the prints of a blurred reality!

JUST ONE HALF III
I'm sorry for the fights we had,
And the days I made you mad,
But baby I long for the cherished moments we shared,
For those moments were all that made me glad,
Sweetheart I regret ever letting you go in the first place,
I thought all I needed was my own space,
I shouldn't have let you out of my sight,
So please take pity on my desperate plight,
For I know you still have some feelings for me,
And even if I know I don't deserve your love,
That little feeling is all I need,
So all I'm asking is just one-half of your heart.

YOUR WORLD!
From the very first day I set gaze on you,
My soul united with your entity,
I liked you, before I knew you,
In you I saw the essence of my personality,
I loved you before I heard the sound of your voice,
And even before I expressed my feelings, you were my first and only choice,
Ever since the day our paths crossed,
I've never stopped imagining,
When my loneliness shall be tossed,
And I've never stopped pinning,
For a chance to be a part of your world,
For as long as our worlds remain apart, I'll never stop yearning for your world,
So I constantly, wonder,
What your world is like,
I continuously ponder,
Over a possibility to go for a hike,
Along the paths of your love,
For I'm sure you're the one sent me from above,
So baby tell me, what's your world like,
Are the streets of it clad in love and affection,
Are the grasses filled with occassional thorns and spikes,
Because I really don't mind, 'cos it's imperfections would be my perfection,
And whether it's mountains are covered in treasures or it's valleys in pressures,
I'm convinced that in it lies my life's pleasures,
So honey, please let me in, I'd love to come in, I want to be in, I yearn to live in it's inns,
'Cos in spite of my world's treasures, outside your world, it's all pressures and no leisure.
