MAKE THAT CHANGE!

Okay, so it's a new year,
And you made it thus far. Congratulations, yeah,
There is still a lot of excitement in the air,
That's good,
But let's take off any hood,
That may keep us from putting the year in perspective,
And doing the things which would bring to fruition, the dreams which in our lives are prospective,
Truth is, while so many will continue their same old ways, afraid to rearrange,
If you want to turn your situations around, you must be prepared to make that change!

I believe your life is ready for something new,
And there's a feeling in my spirit the universe is waiting for a change by you,
I don't know what changes you have to make,
Or what choices you have to take,
But here is what I know-this year, the right decision,
Will put your life in the right direction,
Please, take this seriously, and make that change,
And do what it takes to rearrange,
Put your life on the right path, and take in an air of fresh breath,

Honestly, this year, there would be some discouragements along the way,
But you have to brace yourself, stick it out and hold on, all the way,
This can be your best year ever, or your worst year ever- it all depends on you,
Concerning your dreams, visions and goals, you can't afford to give up! Stay true,
To your resolutions, stay true to your commitments-lose that weight, quit that bad habit,
Quit that relationship that is threatening your peace of mind, stop it,
Whatever changes you have to make, go on ahead with it,
You can write that book, you can start and finish that project, yes! You can!
I don't mean to be cliche' with that last phrase, but truth is, whatever your mind can conceive, this year if you believe, you can achieve, yes! You can!

STRONGER WITH YOU!

Sorrowful nights, painful plights and darkened lights,
Hopes dashed, visions dissolved and dreams ailing,
Love tested, trust wavered, baby, through the fights,
Through the hardships, when our foundations began failing,

BECAUSE GOD'S ON THE THRONE...

It's a brand new year,
I'm so grateful to be alive,
My eye just let out a tear,
But as I reminisce on the events of the year past,
And upon my gains and losses, a thought of stock-taking cast,
I can't help but meditate on the prospect of the new year,
I can't help but cogitate on how the lord has brought me thus far, here,

So, as the new year rolls out,
There are so many things I'm thinking about,
There are some things I'm unsure of,
And yes, some things that I'm afraid of,
But as these thoughts run through my mind,
And these feelings I can't leave behind,
I am reminded by The Spirit to look to the hills,
From whence my help will come, no matter how I feel,
For because God's on His throne, it is well,
I (you) will succeed through this year, and excel,

I may not be sure of how to pay the mortgage,
But because God's on the throne,
I know it is well,
And I'm sure I will,
A single uncoupled sister, I'm not sure if I'll get engaged,
But because God's on the throne,
I know it is well,
And I'm sure I will,
A single brother, I'm not sure if I'll find that special sister,
But because God's on the throne,
I know it is well,
And I'm sure I will,
A working class mother,
I'm not sure how to juggle the kids, work and my husband,
But because God's on the throne,
I know it is well,
And I'm sure I will,
An ordained minister, I'm not sure how to cater effectively for the flock of God, this year,
But because God's on the throne,
I know it is well,
And I'm sure it will,
An up and coming artist, I'm not sure if my big break will come this year,
But because God's on the throne,
It is well,
And I'm sure I will,
Time and space will fail me to touch every aspect,
But I hope you get the idea and see the prospect,
The list continues but whatever it is,
This shall be your year of CONGRATULATIONS,
And come what may, you'll make it with stars,
Because God's on the throne!

Every man needs a woman who would let him be the man, the king of the castle, and head of the house,

Every man needs a woman who would be with him, when he wallows in paradise-fountain,
But most men desire a woman who would stay with them when every thing else is gone, and would still call them, "honey",
Only a few men would remain faithful to their wives when all is bad, in the valley, and when all is well, on the mountain,
So, which are you? Every man, Most men, a Few men, or may be all, or even none?

Every man needs a woman who would bring out the best in him, and support him to be his best,
Every man needs a woman who would help him work on his weaknesses, while she sharpens his strengths, making him better,
But most men desire a woman who would remain faithful to them, while they cheat and misbehave with the rest,
Only a few men would value the treasure on the inside and outside of their wives, constantly drawing from her fountains, working the relationship out, instead of seeking another sister,
So, which are you? Every man, Most men, a Few men, or may be all or even none?

Every woman needs a man who would show her true love,
Every woman needs a man who would love her for who and what she is,
Most women desire a man who would make them glow, like a full moon in the sky above,
But some women seek a man who would just be there, whether rich or poor, that's all it is,

Every woman needs a man who would make her feel like a woman,
Every woman needs a man who brings out the beauty and the best, not the beauty and the beast, in her,
Most women would do anything to get a wealthy man,
But some women would love their man, regardless, and take him higher than he can be, just like her,

Every woman needs a man who would make her feel loved, respected, adored and cherished-like a princess or may be a queen,
Every woman needs a man who undermines her weaknesses but magnifies her strengths, and accepts her even with her imperfections,
Most women cannot stand a man whose bank account cries for help, and whose check book is always unseen,
But some women would be there to the end, their vow-for better for worse; they love without restrictions and inhibitions,
