Teach the black child that if he doesn't believe in himself no one will,
Teach him that valleys are meant for those who are comfortable with valleys,
And mountain-tops are meant for those who are comfortable with mountain-tops,
His best is what he makes it!
We define our destinies, our destinies don't define us!
Teach the black child that a battle from within and fought against one's own is senseless,
But beneficial are one's energies when directed towards a sensible purpose,
Teach the black child!
Please teach the black boy that his "sisters" are not whores to be treated like bitches,
Please teach the black boy to treat his "sisters" with respect, and not personality-complexes,
Teach the black girl that she is the first and last person to love herself,
To be loved, she must first love-herself,
And to be appreciated, she must first appreciate-herself,
Teach her her beauty comes from within her, and not a "brother's" pocket or hands,
Teach her not to give away all her "stuff" to a "stranger-brother", or a "stranger-friend"!
Teach her money, wealth and embellishments doesn't produce her beauty,
It only magnifies the beauty she has produced within her entity!
Please teach the black child!
