Not for the tragedy of death does she weep,
Not for her poverty or helplessness does she wail,
Neither does her heart bleed for the suffering of the poor,
Nor does her spirit get crushed at the sight of the dead,
But for the moral decadence of her children does she shed tears,
For the promiscuity of her daughters, she does sob,
For the violence and vices of her sons, does tears stream down her cheeks,
For the depravity of this generation she cries out,
For the peril of mother earth does she in poignancy hiss,
For the recession of the economy, does she get depressed,
Against the corruption and the perversion of justice she protests,
Against the inimical freedom offered by the society which breeds immorality, she sorrowfully crusades,
And against the indifference of the rich to the plight of the poor she gets troubled and pitifully discouraged.
