It's not the beauty of cosmetic embellishment,
Neither is it the beauty of artificial adornment,
It's not the beauty of superficial glamor,
Nor the beauty of outward glow,
It's not the beauty of curvy figure,
Neither is the beauty of a frame shaped like the figure eight,
It's not the beauty of boobs and booties,
Nor the beauty of a spotless face, or mascaraed lashes;
Foundation, lip-sticks and eye-shadows,
It's not the beauty of pretty eyes and straight, spotless legs,
Nor the beauty that stops traffic, literally,
Neither is the beauty that make some brothers grow weak, literally and figuratively,
It's not even the beauty of "Who is that?"
Nor the beauty of "She is so fine!"
For all of these are aging, passing and ephemeral beauty,
That whose artificiality and lack of originality breaks down with the passage of time,
But it's the beauty that is ever glowing, that which is continuously renewed by nature,
It's the beauty that makes the heart merry, makes the soul glad and makes the spirit leap,
It's the beauty which is refreshed by the waters of time, nourished by the winds of the passing years, and preserved by the clock of age,
It's a beauty that shines outwardly from an inward location, a beauty you never get tired of,
It's a beauty that is divine, spiritual and natural, a beauty which can never be cloned,
It's a beauty of character, of integrity, of a gorgeous attitude, an attractive personality and a ravishing nature,
A beauty that doesn't strive for perfection but excellence; a beauty that strengthens, comforts, consoles, encourages and inspires,
Such folks, is THE BEAUTY I SEEK.

STRENGTH OF A WOMAN
Some say she is a weaker vessel,
Some say she is just an empty vessel,
Others think she is emotionally and physically weaker,
They say the man is much better and brighter,
But I don't think so, and I hate to burst some bubbles,
For after much meditation and constant struggles,
Trying to wrap my mind around this creature called Woman,
I've come to understand an undeniable truth, an astonishing revelation,
I call it The Strength of a Woman!
It's a strength etched within the fibers of her being from creation,
She was created to be a helpmeet, a helper of creation,
She possesses a strength of emotion, a power of passion,
She was intellectually equipped to look beyond the surface,
So she sees that which lies beneath surface,
Keen to details, armed with better analytical skills, she sees through the inter phase,
And yes, she is a woman, a wife, a mother, a breadwinner, a teacher, and a caretaker,
Oh how I wonder at the inexhaustible strength of this creature called Woman,
That which the man prides himself in she can do even double,
She is emotionally stronger, sometimes physically better, and even intellectually wiser, now that's a triple,
She wields a power which brings the strongest of men to their knees; it's the power of herself,
She knows how to get just what she wants without physically burning out herself,
She is subtle, sometimes cunning, clever, and attention getting, persuasive with her words,
Sometimes I feel she rules the world,
And no, she is not just an empty vessel or a subject of sex appeal,
But one whose presence in a man's life, creates a better appeal,
Think about a man's world without her-chaos and disorder,
But when she steps in the reverse is the case-order, order, and order,
Now that's the strength of a woman!
Some say she is just an empty vessel,

NOT MEANT TO BE
Once I saw this pretty girl,
Moved by her beauty I approached her; but I meant well,
I had seen equally beautiful maidens, my eyes had seen equally beautiful damsels,
But there was something about her beauty that attracted me to this very damsel,
The mere sight of her pulled several strings and hit different notes in my heart,
I desired her not for her body, but for her heart,
I wished we could be together forever,
I wished we could be joined in holy matrimony forever,
But after she clearly made it know that she desired another,
I realized that some things are not just meant to be,
Perhaps, she wasn't the right one for me,
But she was all I desired in a woman, all I wanted in a wife,
She seemed like the perfect fit for my life,
I could see my reflection in her personality,
I could view my nature within her entity,
Together I wished we could sail the world, and travel across the seven seas,
But after she made it clear that some ships shouldn't sail on the same seas,
I realized that indeed, some birds of the same feather can never flock together,
I realized it was not just meant to be, not now, not ever,
So I let go off this angel, waiting for the almighty to send another meant just for me.

IF ONLY SHE KNEW...
Young and beautiful,
They told her she had a sexy body,
Naive and vulnerable,
They told her she needed a man to make her glow,
They told her everyone else was doing it, so she could follow,
She believed,
Ignorant, she was deceived,
By the lies from the mouth of some sweet-talking opportunist,
Waiting to take advantage of her vulnerability,
Waiting to prey on her innocence and naivety
But if only she knew,
If only she knew that she was beautiful in herself,
If only she knew that she didn't need any man to make her glow,
If only she knew that her beauty was not in artificiality,
If only she knew that spreading her legs for every Tom, Dick and Harry,
Would not make her more beautiful or better appreciated,
Oh if only daddy's little girl knew,
If only mommy's pretty angel knew,
If only somebody had told her that her self-esteem was hers to define,
If only she knew that she is as beautiful as she thinks she is, not as the world says she is,
If only she knew that there was no fun in empty and vain promiscuity,
If only she knew that loosing her virginity, to some depraved ungrateful fellow, was vanity,
And that it was something she would come to regret, something that would come to hunt her,
If only she knew that she was made by an excellent God who never makes mistakes,
If only she knew that she was worth more than a threesome, a blow-job and a one night stand,
If only she knew that she was an angel, well-made for greatness and excellence,
If only she knew that even now, regardless of her mistakes, God is waiting to forgive her, and restore her,
If she would just call on Him,
Oh if only my little sister knew,
Can someone please help me tell her,
That she is beautiful just the way she is.
They told her she had a sexy body,
Naive and vulnerable,

LOVE HIM REGARDLESS
Sometimes you wonder if he is still the same man you married,
You even ponder over whether to leave him or remain with him,
'Cause perhaps, he doesn't love you anymore,
Or doesn't treat you well as before,
But before you leave him and walk out the door,
Please remember your marriage vow-"for better for worse",
For no matter what happens, he is still your husband,
And if you stay with him, he will remain your "house-band"
So please in spite of his current attitude,
Stick with him and love him regardless,
He doesn't put the toilet seat down,
He is very unorganized; he litters his socks and clothes,
Love him regardless,
He sometimes forgets to help with the kids, or the dishes,
And sometimes you wish he could assist you some more,
I understand, but please still love him regardless,
May be he has cheated on you before,
And you feel like he doesn't love you as before,
No matter what has happened, pray for him,
And believe God for a change, while you keep loving him regardless,
You just never know; you constant love and fidelity might bring him back to his senses,
So please remember he is still you husband,
You vowed to love him for better for worse,
So in spite of his current attitude,
Just love him regardless,
For true love is unconditional and endless.
You even ponder over whether to leave him or remain with him,

LOVE HER REGARDLESS
She seemed to have changed,
Not the same woman you married,
And sometimes you wonder what happened,
If you could turn back the hands of time, you would,
But regardless of what may have happened,
Remember your marriage vow-"for better for worse",
So please, no matter what happened,
Remember that she is still bones of your bones,
The one to whom you are joined in nuptial unity,
So stick with her and love her regardless,
Sometimes she excites you,
And at other times she upsets you,
No matter what happens,
Remember she is still an inseparable part of you,
So love her regardless,
For true love is unconditional,
It is endless, it is eternal,
Remember that she is still bone of your bones,
The one to whom you are joined in nuptial unity,
So please stick with her and love her regardless.
Through her imperfections,
In the midst of her whimsical dispositions,
Love her regardless,
Through the good and the bad,
In the midst of the happy and sad,
moments in your marriage, please love her regardless,
For she is still bone of your bones,
The one to whom you are joined in nuptial unity,
So please stick with her and love her regardless.

LET ME BE...
Sometimes I'm lost for words to express the love,
Which I feel for you; an angel sent me from above,
You are all I ever wanted in a woman,
You make me feel like a real man,
So through the happy days,
And in the midst of the gloomy days,
I would stand by you,
So, baby please let me be the one to shelter you,
When the storms of life are raging,
And when the rain of life is pouring,
Please let me be,
Let me be the one to catch you when you fall,
The one to answer when you call,
The one that wipes your tears,
The one that would never leave you bare,
Honey, please let me be the sunshine in your cloudy days,
And let me be the one that brightens your darkest days,
What more do I want in a woman,
For you have made me a joyful man,
So what more do I want in life,
When I have you as my wife,
So please baby, just let me be,
Let me be your provider,
Let me be your defender,
Let me be your protector,
Let me be your one and only,
A companion that will never leave you lonely,
For your are the reason I wake up each day,
With a smile on my face, every day,
You are my saving grace,
The one whose touch, kiss, caress, romance and love,
Leaves me in a better place,
So please, baby, let me be to you whatever you want me to be.
'Cause I love you and I know you're the only one for me.
Which I feel for you; an angel sent me from above,
You are all I ever wanted in a woman,
You make me feel like a real man,

BEAUTY QUOTES
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, they say; but I think true and lasting beauty is that which the heart feels, that which is beyond what the eyes can see. It's a beauty that is felt even in the absence of the possessor of such beauty. Such is a beauty that is not ephemeral but eternal; a beauty that is not artificial or superficial but authentic and internal.
Beauty that you can see but not feel is not beauty at all. It is mere artificiality.
You are as beautiful as you think and feel you are.
Sometimes it is not the eye-shadow, our foundation, or lipstick that makes a woman attractive; it is the way she carries herself, her confidence and her sense of her own worth. It is the strength of inner beauty that speaks louder than the emptiness which artificial beauty covers.
Don't ever let anyone make you feel you are ugly. Ugly is a word created by people who are confused about proper description. What you call ugly or beautiful is only defined by your personal perception; I don't think the word ugly is universal. For sometimes ugly means unattractive, hence you are beautiful to the one who is attracted to you. And sometimes, that's all you need-to be loved and appreciated by just one person who sees the beauty which no one sees.
You cease to be beautiful the day you begin to dislike yourself. Beauty appreciates with a sense of self-worth and self-esteem.
I rather live with a woman whose inner beauty makes my heart merry, than a woman whose artificiality chokes me daily.
She doesn't need to have a figure-eight shape, she just needs to have the right heart shape. As long as her heart is well-shaped and beautiful, she is beautiful to me.
No society, no man, no woman, reserves the right to tell you whether you are beautiful or not. And I'm not just saying this to excite you, it is the truth. For what society calls beauty is sometimes equivalent to artificiality and superficiality.
A beauty that I can't feel is not beauty beautiful enough for me.

FROM A DISTANCE II
...So what more do I need,
Unto my inner voice I heed,
So unto this pretty maiden I walked,
To her with excitement I talked,
We embarked on this journey of love,
With the one I thought was sent me from above,
'Cause from a distance,
She seemed like the best companion for my lonely circumstance,
But now I realize that her beauty was only superficial,
Her glow and sparkle was only artificial,
That which she possessed was only ephemeral,
For deep within her being,
Etched within the fiber of her being,
Was a certain ugliness,
A certain bitterness,
And a certain sadness,
And now I regret ever inviting her into my life,
But I'm grateful I didn't make her my wife,
'Cause from a distance,
I was sure her beauty had substance,
But now I know that beyond outward beauty,
Lies a beauty which exists within one's entity,
A beauty of character and personality,
A beauty with class and dignity,
Not a beauty pivoted on artificiality,
So be mindful of she who looks beautiful from a distance,
'Cause her beauty may drain you of your life's substance,
Search for the beauty that lies within a woman.
Peace.

FROM A DISTANCE
It was hot summer afternoon,
There she was afar off, in the heat of the sun,
Her skin glistened in the sun's radiance,
Her beauty so sparkly, it created an ambiance,
I was dumb-founded, 'cause from a distance,
She seemed like the perfect one for me,
And from the first instance, I was sure we were meant to be,
Her face was spotless,
Her legs were hairless,
Her skin was smooth and tender,
Her lips so full and sensuous, I felt like kissing her,
She had the perfect figure eight shape,
Our love together would be a perfect shape,
I tell you from a distance,
That girl looked like an angel, in the first instance...

RESPECT YOUR BODY!
As I continually meditate on this thing called Love,
And how our world continually abuses Love;
People misconstrue lust for love,
They mistaken infatuation for love,
And even think sex and love,
Go together,
Well, in the midst of this misconception,
In the abundance of such confusion,
I have a word of advice for all the ladies out there,
The single ladies who are quick to go bare,
Just because a man says, I'm attracted to you,
Please don't be deceived, for true love will always wait for you,
So respect your body and keep it for that special one meant just for you,
You think about it,
How can a man say he loves you,
If he cannot wait for you, respect your body,
And love you for you, instead of loving your body,
If he cannot show his commitment,
By "putting a ring on it,"
You take a moment and give it a thought,
But while you're at it, please Respect your body,
He doesn't even know the content of your heart,
Yet he wants you to spread your legs apart,
He is interested in the color of your panties,
And not in the content of your personality,
A man that loves you,
Should love you enough to wait for you,
He should love you enough to take you down the aisle,
Otherwise, he doesn't deserve your body, even for a shortwhile,
So respect your body,
Don't give him what he hasn't paid for,
Keep it for the man that is serious enough to pay for it, before,
You let out the treasure that is your sexuality,
Rather than mess around in vain carnality,
There is a treasure within you,
You don't need a man freely accessing that treasure within you,
Respect your body,
Keep yourself and be your husband's only lady,
Sex is more than just carnal pleasure,
It brings pressure when abused, but when waited for, becomes a treasure,
It is soulful, it binds the spirits of those involved,
"But everyone is doing it", you say,
Well, contrary to popular belief, let me say,
Not everyone is doing it,
You can be among those not doing it,
Think about keeping your body for your "Mr. Right,"
You will different from the rest, be proud in your own right,
You can walk with your head held up high, different from the rest,
A queen of your domain, granting access to only the right king, for the rest,
Of your life, proud of your virginity,
The treasure of your sexuality not given to immorality,
Think about the night of your honey moon,
As you both for the first time unite under the moon,
He is your first, you're his first,
You discover yourselves in yourselves,
Such beauty,
Such purity,
Is the beauty and sanctity of your matrimony;
Even if you have made mistakes in the past,
Let it go, and start from now to respect your body.
Peace.

Even if you have made mistakes in the past,
Let it go, and start from now to respect your body.
Peace.

BEAUTIFULLY BLACK! III
There's a certain peculiarity to her beauty, so she's not just a mere object of sex appeal,
A certain jealousy to her love-life, so she's possessive and protective of her own,
A certain fragrance to the essence of her presence, the reason she's every man's love-interest and appeal,
And an undeniable authenticity to her glory that lacks artificiality, so I think her place lies in the skies and on the throne,
Yet in the midst of all these, one thing stands out in her personality,
The very reason I'm forever enchanted with her entity,
It's the beauty of her skin and the originality of its blackness,
Her black is beautiful but I call her Beautifully Black!

BEAUTIFULLY BLACK! II
There is a unique story and history to her race,
A certain longevity to her life span, a certain titillation to her sexuality, and a certain viability to her seed,
The reason I think among her people, and within her race, lies my place,
There's a certain permeability to her emotions, yet a certain impermeability to it, a certain weakness to her character, yet a certain strength to it; it's like the best of both worlds, a treasure from which I want to feed,
From the dungeons of slavery and brutality, have her people emerged still strong, resilient, and have thrived through time's space,
Yet in the midst of all these, one thing stands out in her personality,
The very reason I'm forever enchanted with her entity,
It's the beauty of her skin and the originality of its blackness,
Her black is beautiful, but I prefer calling her beautifully black!

BEAUTIFULLY BLACK!
There is a certain confidence and firmness to the way she walks,
A unique radiance and brightness to her smiles,
And a soothing softness and sweetness to the way she talks,
Her figure is conspicuous, her beauty unrivalled, and her appearance sets up joy in my heart in piles,
Yet in the midst of these, one thing stands out in her personality,
The very reason I'm forever enchanted with her entity;
It's the beauty of her skin, and the originality of its blackness,
Her black is beautiful, but I think she's Beautifully Black!

A STRANGE WOMAN II
Down to the soul, her kiss goes planting death's sting,
Deep into the heart her caresses cling,
Drink not from her cistern for it is a poison to your soul,
Taste not of her 'honor' for like hot coal, it burns your life's goal,
Yield not to the alluring swaying of her waist,
Else out of your life, her accentuated feminine features make a waste,
Unite not with her soul for it is symbolic of eternal destruction,
Neither go into her almost secret region, for it is characteristic of utter devastation,
In her words lie gross hate,
Behind her smiles is the entrance to hell's gate,
Her eyes beam the devil's vision,
And her purpose is the fulfillment of his mission!

A STRANGE WOMAN I
Beware of the daughter of Jezebel,
Take heed that she stagnate not your life like the tower of Babel,
Go not by her ways for they lead to hell, bringing condemnation,
Her paths tread not, for they are a highway to the grave, bringing damnation,
Flee from her beckoning,
And run from her calling,
Be not deceived by her words,
Neither yield to her worlds...

A Broken Water Pot
She was the goddess of beauty,
The deity of sensuality,
The symbol of perfection,
The mermaid of purity,
And the true embodiment of femininity,
She is the adorable daughter of the king; her words revealed royalty,
The beloved of her mother; whose charity towards her knew no bounds,
She was the role model of all maidens; mothers chided their daughters to tread her path,
The envy of all females; whose feminine features they desired,
The object of the males' lust; whose sacred region they yearned,
And the center of the elders' fantasies; whose addition to their host of wives, they longed,
Then saturated with glory,
She became filled with pride,
And engorged with arrogance,
As the passion for desecration surged within her bowels,
Driving her in the direction of masculinity and love,
Disgracefully, she let the lower member of the stronger sex in between her thighs,
Permitted the defilement of her womanhood,
Swayed the branches of royalty in the winds of peasants and mere mortals,
And out of that hut of impoverishment stepped, her feminine waters trickling down her once sanctified thighs,
So, she became deflowered,
Ripped of her pride;
Her dignity ruined by this inglorious experience,
Her purity contaminated,
Her sanctity desecrated,
Her consecration to the dogs cast,
And her beauty faded.
What a shame.

Abused
Torn-apart by the violent winds of assault; ripped of sanctity,
My soul weeps for her ordeal,
Emotionally disfigured in the flames of forceful penetration; devoid of purity,
My heart cries for the brutal hand she's been dealt,
Her life, in tatters, lie, bruised and traumatized,
Denied of rights which to her legitimately belongs,
Wounded by the spear of inhumanity,
Despised by those from whom healing, she desired, her heart bleeds and her soul cries,
And I can't but ask why, it should be her?
Abandoned in the bonds of penury,
Entrapped within the shackles of savagery,
Her spirit crushed by the impact of dehumanization,
She yearns for a beam of hope, and her soul for the rays of deliverance, wails,
So I'm asking her to give life another chance and look on the bright side,
And to, inspite of her pain, and from the midst of her travail, draw up the waters of healing and optimism,
Look beyond her plights and let go of pessimism,
From the valleys of victimization,
From the dungeons of desecration,
And the prisons of pain,
Her heart cries out,
Her spirit weeps,
And her soul sobs,
And we can't help but listen with ears of sympathy and lend her hands of comfort and shoulders of restoration.

A Mother's Love
Sweeter than honey,
More satisfying than the freshness of the summer springs,
The weaknesses of childhood invigorate, than the eve breezes' cool,
Gently transforming, from the fetal state to infancy,
Pure and true, void of deception,
Not doting, but instructing, rid of hate,
Nurturing and caring, devoid of neglect,
Cautiously watching from infancy to puberty,
Attentive and encouraging, full of hope,
Sensitive and careful, studded with direction,
Reproving and corrective; an embodiment of wisdom,
Thoroughly directing from puberty to adulthood, and building a life of responsibility.

Love Waits
Though your heart be broken,
Your trust betrayed,
And your fidelity abused,
Never be enslaved in the bonds of despondency,
For deep within, love lies, waiting to be revived;
Factually, your soul lies in tatters,
Your life with disappointment is filled,
And your tenderness at masculinity is furious,
Don't be infuriated,
For out there in a genuine personality, love lies, waiting to be met,
Sexual infidelity out off your disposition, sweetness may have sapped,
In your nature a seed of hate planted,
And within your femininity, frigidity, several ordeals of disloyalty, imbued,
But repudiate negativity, and revive your femininity,
For in the ocean of affection true love swims, waiting to be discovered.
