Sometimes I reflect on my past,
Where the lord has brought me from,
His plentiful mercies in my life, His everlasting love,
His grace and hands upon my life,
Then I realize that I'm undeserving of His love and mercy,
But I also realize that regardless of my many inadequacies,
I was loved anyway,
And that message of love is what I bring your way today,
Don't know what somebody has told you,
About how you wouldn't amount to anything,
About how you are nothing but a piece of trash,
Don't know what your past is and how many times,
You have sinned against the almighty,
Don't know why you keep living in self-pity,
Thinking you're not worth anything,
But regardless of your situation, no matter how bad it is,
I've come to announce to you sir, madam, young man, young woman,
That you are loved anyway,
May be the reverse is the case for you,
May be some guy has told you young girl,
That you're beautiful and that he loves you,
He has also bought you some nice things,
To prove his love for you or the lack of it,
And right now you feel like you owe him your body,
As a way of saying, "thank you,"
Well, first of all, love that is built on physical pleasure is no true love,
Stop trying to find your worth in a man who intends to use and abuse you,
Return to the one who loves you anyway,
The one whose arms are ever open to receive you,
Regardless of how many times you have despised Him,
The one who gave it all up for you on that old rugged cross,
The one who loved you enough to offer you an inheritance in His father's kingdom,
The one who loved you in spite of you,
Jesus is calling you today,
Please don't refuse His precious, true, real and divine love.

THE SIMPLICITY OF LIFE
In all of life's complexities,
In the myriad of urban hustle and bustle,
It is sometimes easy to get entangled in the web of our world's pandemonium,
And lose a sense of life's simplicity,
And the beauty of its austerity,
But for someone out there who is often weakened,
And rid of your vitality by the busyness of a complex universe,
Here is a word for you: return to the simplicity of life,
As you go about your daily life,
As you go through life's many activities,
Work, sometimes two or three of it, the long commutes,
School, children, for those who have them,
The wife, the husband, family life, and friends,
Always take out the time and relish in the simplicity of life,
And in the austerity of everyday living,
Take your time and breathe in the fresh morning air,
And feel the warmth of the summer sun,
As you let the breezes sip through the scalp of your head and skin,
Take your time and appreciate the simplicity of life,
And the beauty of its austerity,
Spend time with friends, family and the ones you care about; eat, drink, relax,
Sit back and enjoy the simplicity of life,
Appreciate God for the break of dawn and the beginning of a new day; enjoy today and hope for tomorrow,
Hold tightly the ones you love, give them a kiss, a hug and tell them you love them,
'Cause after all is said and done, life, love and the ones we love, is all we've got.
So, take the time and watch the sun rise, watch the awesome height at which the eagle flies,
Appreciate nature's beauty: the seas, the birds, the flowers, and all of nature's abundance,
Laugh long and hard; take a long bath, let go off the stress of life and just appreciate the simplicity of life,
Because after all, let me say in a nut shell, that worry and stress never solves any problem,
So do the best you can, leave the rest to God and just appreciate the simple things of life.
Peace.

WE WIN SOME II
So we keep rising,
In the midst of constant defeat and failures,
We keep rising,
Regardless of how many times we have been beaten,
We keep rising, we keep pressing on, we keep pushing on,
We never stop trying, praying, believing, trusting, expecting,
While we are on our journey to the promised land; our sojourn to the top,
'Cause we know we are bound to win some, we are bound to lose some,
But it's our attitude in the midst of the storms that determines our altitude after the storm,
So we keep rising even when people stop believing in us,
We keep rising even when the odds are stacked up against us,
We keep rising even after we watch all we've worked for crumble to the ground,
For we know that we would win some, and we would lose some,
So we encourage ourselves in defeat, and look with hope and optimism to the possibilities of our glorious future,
For whether we win some, lose some, win all, or lose all,
We know that as long as the courage and dreams within us remain indestructible, we would always come back better and stronger,
This folks, is what keeps me going, and regardless of your situation, please look in to the future with hope,
For the possibilites are endless for those who never stop believing in the possibilities.
And remember, we win some, we lose some, but we never stop trying, we never give up and above all, we never say never.
Peace.

WE WIN SOME
Life is filled with ups and downs;
One minute you are king of the mountain tops,
Next minute you are struggling in the valley pits,
One minute the crowd is calling your name,
The next minute they are spreading your downfall,
I've always had an attitude of a winner,
The determination to keep pressing on,
With the intention of coming out at the top,
But time and time again, I've come to realize that,
Though they say, "life's what you make it,"
Life doesn't always turn out to be what you work so hard to make it,
So we win some, and we lose some,
But we never stop trying, we never give up, we never say never,
Because it's not the excitement and glory of victory that makes winners,
But the courage to rise up again, pick up your baton and get back in the race,
Even in the midst of constant defeat and failures, yeah, that's what makes you a winner,
It's what makes you a fighter; 'cause we win some, we lose some,
But we never stop trying, we never give up and we never say never...

AS LONG THERE IS LIFE...
Heart-aches, headaches, worries and anxieties,
What to wear, what to eat; the necessities,
Leave me complaining and grumbling,
Asking and seeking,
For a brighter day, for a new day;
I long for the passage of my sorrow,
And the revelation of a better tomorrow,
But then I realize that I'm commanded to live worry-free,
And to pray and hope for that which must be,
For in the midst of all these, I'm sure of one thing:
As long as there is life, there is hope,
Today may not be like the good old yesterdays,
But I know that tomorrow shall be a better day,
For one thing is sure; there is always something better in the future,
If only we can live with optimism,
As we jettison the burdens of pessimism,
For though our troubles bear long,
And our many unrealized dreams leave us with a sorrowful song,
We can always put a smile on our faces,
Mount on the wings of hope and soar to better and bigger stages,
For we know that as long as there is life, there is hope,
So here is my advice: No matter how hard it gets, you must never give up on yourself, your dreams and on life. Hold on, persevere, endure, pray, hope, work, smile and laugh often. For your best is yet to come. Peace.

BENEATH THE PAIN
Battered, shattered, all hopes lost,
Tossed to and fro by the winds of a dejected life,
Rejected by all, accpeted by none, but at all cost,
You desire a change in your life,
Don't be dismayed,
Don't be discouraged,
For Beneath your pain,
Lies a profitable gain,
Beneath your guilt,
Right underneath your filth,
Lies a treasure and a glorious light,
Which can put your soul on a glorious flight,
If only you will look beneath the rubble,
Look past the past troubles,
For you mess, can be turned into a message,
Which shall usher your generation into a new age,
Your many pressures,
Can all be turned into treasures,
For which your generation will be forever grateful,
And legacies you will leave which will be forever unforgettable,
If only you look within, look past, look up and look to the future.
Peace.

INSPITE OF THE STORM
Young and ambitious,
Thought I had life planned, nothing fortuitous,
Had dreams so big, some thought it was ridiculous,
Had a one-track mind, some called me ludicrous,
But as I grew older, the reality of life starred me in the face,
I realized that with big dreams come big dangers, so I needed grace,
Was hit severally by the raging storms, opposed by the tide,
Tossed to and fro by the wind of life, troubles on every side,
But Inspite of the Storm,
I still see a brighter day,
Somewhere in the future, in a new day,
Don't know how many times you have failed,
Don't know how many times you have been failed,
Don't know what valley you have been through,
Don't know what tunnel you are going through,
Just know that Inspite of the Storm,
You can still see a brighter day,
Somewhere in your future, in a new day,
Your new day shall come,
Your victories would be won,
And your destiny shall be born, or reborn,
Your shall lose your pain,
But you will gain your happiness and rejoice again,
For Inspite of your storm (whatever it may be),
I still see for you a brighter day,
Somewhere in your bright future, in your new day!
Peace.

YET IN A LITTLE WHILE
I was walking home one day,
When this poem was laid in my heart,
As I thought about a brighter day,
The end of the pain and the hurt,
I heard a word in my spirit,
I felt a message in my soul,
So I want to pour out my spirit,
And empty my soul,
For that young man who has done all you can,
For that boy who is struggling to be man,
For that woman who feels like she has done all,
For that young girl who feels like no one hears her call,
Hear this: Don't give up, hold on!
For in a Little While, your change will come,
If you hold on, and keep pressing on,
Right now the odds may be against you,
Your world is crumbling down upon you,
You weep and mourn,
Your mates laugh you to scorn,
You feel you are lacking behind,
Don't worry! Don't give up!
Keep doing what is right, don't compromise,
For Yet In a Little While, your change will come,
If you hold on, and keep pressing on,
Finally, for that one who has fasted and prayed,
Trusted, given, read, believed and prophesied,
You have prayed, believed and acted,
But you still feel like you are deserted,
You are doing all that is right,
But you still remain in a painful plight,
Don't worry! Don't give up!
Keep your faith and hope alive,
For your God who has promised is still alive,
He is faithful and just,
And Yet in a Little While,
Your change shall come,
If you hold on, and keep pressing on.
Peace.

I HEAR YOU...I SEE YOU
Today as I listened to the song "Does Anybody Hear Her."
A poem was born in my heart,
As I paid attention to the lyrics of the song, "Does Anybody Hear Her,"
I am more awakened to people's hurt,
As I realize the fact that millions are going through life everyday,
Without a direction, or in the wrong direction, with no one to show them the way,
We are always quick to point an accusing finger,
But slow to extend a helpng hand, to make someone better,
But as much as I know there is little I can do,
To be helping hand unto you,
Regardless of the distance,
Though you read my words but can't feel my presence,
I want you to know that I Hear You....and I See You,
It may look like you are left alone, all by yourself,
There is no one who cares, you are by yourself,
Sometimes it might look like God is so far away,
You are suffering seeking a brighter day,
I Hear You....I See You,
The tears upon your bed,
The war going on in your mind, in your head,
The struggles in your life,
The sorrows in your life,
I Hear You...I See You,
When you need someone to talk to,
Someone to help you go through,
The challenges that life hurls at you,
And the curveballs that life throws at you,
Know that in my mind's eye,
In my spirit's vision,
And in my heart's perception,
I Hear You....And I See You,
I am praying for you.
All you need do is call on me,
Write a comment,
I am here to help you cope,
To point you to the creator that he would restore your hope,
Peace.
