TRY JESUS

Dejected, depressed, deserted and broken, is your situation,
Unhappy, discouraged, despondent and shaken, is your position,
Or perhaps, rich, famous and affluent, yet miserable is your description,
Or may be high, mighty, connected and well known, yet empty is your condition,
No matter your case, whatever your story, regardless of your pain,
I'd like you to ignore the skeptics and critics,
Look past the senseless and baseless debates,
And please try Jesus,
For He gave up the priceless prize of His life for your redemption,
So just try Jesus, 'cause I'm sure He would not fail you,
Why suffer unnecessarily when someone has already suffered for you?

Done drugs, sex, alcohol, done it all,
Tried rehab, psychology, philosophy, meditation, new age, tried it all,
Yet your life is far from happy,
You turn to certain T.V and radio shows, in a bid to find the right way to go,
Yet you still stumble and fall,
"Well, every way is the right way", you say,
But you know that all the ways you have tried so far haven't really given you joy,
You join the unbelievers and say, "What about other religions?"
And I say, show me one in which blood was shed, resurrection recorded and miracles followed,
Now that's the authenticity of Jesus-He didn't just come to lead a religion, but to give up His life for you,
We all should have died for our sins, but He took our place,
So quit doubting and try this Jesus,
Quit worrying and just try Jesus,
You may not understand everything yet, but start by trying Jesus,
Ignore the skeptics, critics, agnostics and atheists and just give the author of salvation a chance,
Try Jesus and I assure you, not by stories others told me, but by my own experiences, that He would not fail you.
How? You ask, just pray and say: Lord Jesus I believe you died to save me. I accept you today as my lord and personal savior.  Come into my life and make me fully whole. Amen.

UNSTOPPABLE

Separate the church and the state,
Was the misinterpretation,
Create a secular state,
Was the intention,
Shut the church folks up, eliminate Christianity, 
Was the resolve,
But through it all,
We still remain unstoppable,

Don't mention Jesus Christ, don't talk about the Cross,
"I feel discriminated against when they say Jesus is the savior of the world, 'cause my religion is different,"
What a shame! Some still think it's all about religion,
Well, I'm not sorry to say that Jesus is the savior of the world, the one true and only way,
How can I stifle such grace and love that scooped me out of the dust of sin and vanity,
How can I hold back the move of the Holy Spirit who empowers me daily on this journey,
When something great as salvation happens, we don't whisper it, we scream it,
So pass this message on to the world, begin with the United States,
It doesn't matter what they try to do, or what laws they try to pass,
They still can't shut us down or shut us up,
For this gospel shall always be unstoppable,

The gospel that we preach is far bigger than us,
So we spread it around,
The power we carry is far greater than us,
So we let it out,
It's not about us, but about Him,
"For upon this rock shall I build my church,
And the gates of hell shall not prevail against it,"
So this is not about some puny minded believers who are stupidly radical,
It's about the great I am than I am,
The one who shut up the lions mouth, 
So powerful,
The one who turned a king into a beast,
So incredible,
The one who divided the red sea,
So unbelievable,
The one who created man out of the dust,
So unfathomable,
If the gates of hell cannot prevail against the church,
No institution, no government, no musician, nobody dead or alive, spirit, or whatever, can,
Because the God force is so unstoppable!
Kill us, crucify us, ostracize us, punish us, shut us up,
The gospel will still continue to spread-SO UNSTOPPABLE!

WHAT MORE?

What more can I give to the one who loved me regardless of me?
What more can I do for the one who gave it all up that I may live?
In what way can I prove my love for the one who took my place,
And ushered me into the realm of abundant grace and mercy?
Should I give up all my wealth and my fortune?
Should I give up my life in appreciation?
Well, I could, and that's exactly what I did.

In case you are trying to grasp the perspective of the persona in this poem,
Don't stress your head about it,
'Cause I'm just speaking of my savior, my lord and King, JESUS CHRIST;
For all the love He showed me, for giving up His life on the cross of Calvary for my sins,
For showing true, unending and unconditional love unto me, 
For forgiving my many sins, and restoring me to a place of freedom in Him,
For healing me of my sicknesses, and setting me free from every bondage,
For all He has done for me, I can't think of anything else to give in return,
But my life, my soul, my spirit, and my body in worship and reverence of the living God,
Who thought of a sinner and a  wretch like me and prepared even before the foundations of the earth,
The priceless gift of His only begotten: Immanuel, God with us, The word made flesh, JESUS CHRIST, my savior.
And as I write this morning, I pray that you will not be deceived any longer by the vain and pointless philosophies of man or the confusing complexities of religion's legion,
But that you will accept the real truth, life and purpose in a savior who gave up His life that you may have access to eternal life. I pray you find Jesus and make Him your lord and savior. Ask Him into your life today and experience boundless peace and joy. Amen. Peace.

ETERNITY

Someday in a twinkling of an eye,
All of earth's vanity shall pass by,
Someday in a twinkling of an eye,
All of life's vain pursuit shall go by,
As we are ushered into a realm beyond mortality,
As we arrive in a realm of an extraterrestrial nature-the realm of eternity,

For generations past, centuries gone, and decades long, have the prophets declared,
That long told story of our savior's return is now closer than when we first began, we are ushered,
Into the times of the end, the times when iniquity is on the increase, and the abominable,
The sinful, the immoral and the atrocious has suddenly become acceptable,
But someday we shall behold as in a global observation, the return of the King, Jesus
With the sound of the trumpet and the accompaniment of a great heavenly host, to get us, 
Someday this earth shall be rolled away as a scroll for the revelation of a new heaven and a new earth,
Someday you shall be ushered into the realm of eternity, with the loss of your mortal breath,


Someday the bills will no longer be paid, 
The tuition will no longer be paid,
The children will no longer go to school,
Someday the wise shall become the fool,
Someday we will no longer drive through the street,
To get to work, living to make ends meet,
Someday all this hustle, bustle and rat race,
Shall be terminated in the demise of the human race,
For life as we know it shall be changed forever in the realms of eternity,
When we go past this present life into a place unknown to mortality,
So as you live daily in this present life, think about your fate in the after-life,
Heaven or Hell; you can keep arguing and refusing to believe,
Or you can make a change today and eternal life receive,
But just so you know, eternity is forever and ever.

HE ALONE

This is a special dedication,
To someone out there seeking a better perception,
It's a special selection,
For someone out there seeking liberation,
From all the travails, pains, and sorrows of your life,
For someone who has tried everything possible in life,
For someone whose life has been severally broken,
For someone whose faith has been constantly shaken,

You have done all you can to restore sanity,
Order and satisfaction to your entity,
You have turned to sex, drugs, alcohol and all of earth's vanity,
You are right now caught in a life of dejection,
Trying to find joy in a hedonistic lifestyle, but yet still living in depression,
All the things you do on the surface, the life of debauchery,
Is so you can find a solution to your misery,
But your life is very far from happy,
Well, I've got news for you,
I know of a friend who can heal you, restore and liberate you,
His name is Jesus,

Regardless of your many troubles,
In the midst of your struggles,
He alone can give your peace,
He alone can give you joy,
He alone can deliver you,
You could choose to ignore this,
And continue with your life,
Or you could just accept Jesus today, and witness a change,
The choice is yours, but just so you know,
Nothing that you are doing right now can give you joy and satisfaction,
'Cause He alone can. Peace.

IT IS MY PLEASURE...

I welcome you to the beginning of yet another day in this cycle of life,
It's a brand new day, and another opportunity to live a better life,
But just in case you are asking, what is good about today?
And what is so special about this new day?
May be because your life is far from happy,
In fact it is closer to gloomy than it is to happy,
Well, I may not be able to help you,
But I have a friend who can,
So it is my pleasure to introduce to you, the word made flesh,
The one who lived among men, and gave up His flesh,
That you will have life and have it more abundantly, beyond the flesh,
His name is JESUS,

This morning, this new beginning, will signal the end to your mourning and worrying,
For you don't have any reason to remain in a place of bleakness or despair,
For even before you were born, a significant incident transpired,
A long time ago on a place called Calvary,
It was at that place that a new life was bought for you,
Hence, it remains my utmost pleasure to introduce to you,
The one who made your salvation possible,
The one who made your liberation palpable,
His name is JESUS,

So for that one battling addiction,
It is my pleasure to introduce to you the author of salvation and liberation,
For that one contemplating suicide,
It is my pleasure to introduce to you the one who bled from His side,
That you may have a new life and cross over to a better side,
Look up to Him, He will answer your prayers and heed your calls,
And He'll be there to catch you when you fall,
For that one struggling with finances,
It is my pleasure to introduce to you to one who redefined the principles of finances,
By providing money through an aquatic creature,
For that one who is dealing with marital issues,
It is my pleasure to introduce you to the only faithful bride, who settled marital issues,
By modelling for us what true love should be, settling the issues,
Regardless of your situation in life, it is my pleasure to introduce to you,
The one who can carry your burdens for you, and give you a better life,
His name is JESUS.
Invite Him into your life today: Just pray and say Lord Jesus, I believe you died for me, and I invite you into my life as my lord and savior. Amen. 

HE'S GOD ALONE

Greatness beyond human comprehension,
Beauty beyond mortal description,
Beauty, not of carnality but of holiness,
Beauty, not of superficiality but of righteousness,
The invisible being,
The spirit being,
The one whose abode is hidden from human perception,
The one whose dwelling place is far beyond man's revelation,
He's God all by Himself; He's God alone,

Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient is His name,
The unchangeable changer, unchanged by times and season, always the same,
In case you're still wondering the God I speak of,
In case you're still pondering the God I write of,
He is the God that came to us in the likeness of man-the incarnation,
The God who gave us hope of eternal life-the redemption,
He is the one we call Jehovah,
Our ever present help and caring father,
Who is also in Himself the consuming fire,
He alone is God, He is God alone,

Man in his fallibility tries to disprove His existence,
Humans in their gullibility refuse to acknowledge His presence,
But He is not bothered, 'cause He doesn't need man's acknowledgement,
Neither does He need man's acceptance to rule the firmaments,
But refusing to acknowledge Him will be to your own detriment,
But may be you are one of those who think they are self-sufficient,
Well just so you know, whether you believe it or not, His judgment is imminent,
For some day, this present world shall fade away for the revelation of a new earth,
When the dead in Christ shall rise from the earth, filled with a new breath,
To be with the lord, then it will be too late for a turn around,
For whatever goes around, will come around,
So believe it or not your actions would be judged,
But while you are still contemplating,
Just know that He alone is God, He is God alone,
He doesn't really need you to sit on His throne.

WHEN LAST?

It's the break of dawn,
You still haven't gotten some things done,
It's 3 am, you try to get some sleep,
Four hours later, the alarm clock chimes, time to lose the sleep,
You get out of bed,
Like an early bird,
Eat your break fast quickly,
It's rush hour, the kids need to get to school quickly,
A sigh of relief, you are at your place of work,
To begin the day's work;
It's what you do every day,
Your life goes on like this every day,
But in the midst your everyday life,
You never stop to think about your life,

It's always been about your comfort,
The pleasure of the flesh, every day needs and wants, no hurt,
You take care of the kids, and your spouse, provide their food,
Don't get me wrong, all this is good;
Working to make ends meet, living for your family; all good,
But when last did you stop to think about your soul?
There is more to life than just living for an earthly goal,
We all talk about job, financial, and even marital security,
But how about eternal security,
When last did you think about God, heaven, hell, eternity?
May be you still think Christianity, Jesus Christ, the Bible, are all a fairy tale,
May be you still think there is no God, heaven is just a fairy tale,
Life is to be lived to the satisfaction of one's self,
So all you think about is living for yourself,
Well, amidst the arguments, misconceptions, and man's philosophies,
It's time to start paying attention to biblical prophecies,

For death is a real thing, and so is the after life,
So when last did you think about Christ's life?
The significance of the cross and what Christ did for you,
It is better to live life like there is a God,
And die to find out there is no God,
Than to life life like there is no God,
And die to find out there is a God.
What would be your response when you appear before God?
So I ask, when last did you think about living for a caring and loving God?

A MESSAGE OF HOPE II

...I want you to know that you are still loved,
You are still cherished and beloved,
If not by any man,
By the man who gave His life for you,
By the one who gave it all up for you,
He still cares, He still can bear,
All of your troubles and still be there,
So I bring a message of hope,
Which I believe will help you cope,
Shine a light upon your face, and make you smile again,
Regardless of your hurt, disappointment and pain,
I bring a message of hope from the prince of peace,
The one who is ready to heal and fix your life in one piece,
If only you will let Him behind those walls of your life and heart,
That He will come and heal your soul, body and heart,
I bring a message of hope from JESUS,
The only only one that has always been with us,
It's a message from Immanuel,
The one who is always with us and means well,
You may not know how to fix your life,
But would you please, let Him into your life.
So He can help you out,
'Cause this I speak about-
This message of hope,
Will never make sense to you until you let Christ into your life.
I don't bring a message of condemnation,
But a word of redemption,
A promulgation of restoration,
And a sermon of hope and salvation.

STAY WITH THE VISION

Called out, forgiven, saved and restored,
Washed, cleansed, purged and delivered,
We have been entrusted with a vision,
Given a mission,
Entrusted with a mandate,
To reach out to a world in need,
With the gospel of Christ indeed,
So let's jettison the distractions,
Regardless of the situation,
Let's press on with the vision,
Propagate the message of salvation,
To a world who needs it,
So that we don't regret it,
No matter what you do,
No matter what you are, you,
Should stay with the vision,
Spread the word, and stay with the vision.
JESUS LOVED, SO WE MUST LOVE.

AS WE AWAIT...

"In my father's house are many mansions,
If it were not so, I would have told you,
That I go to prepare a place, that where I am,
There you will be also",
Those were the words of Jesus to His disciples,
Those He choose, whom He personally discipled,
Those words remind me of the fact that someday,
This present cosmos, this physical universe, will pass away,
For the revelation and establishment of a new heaven,
Amidst the controversies, rebellion, debates and unbelief, there is a heaven,
And someday our savior shall return to take us home,
But as we await His second coming,
Let us endeavor to represent His name,
Knowing that His message of love remains the same,
So with everything we have: talents, money and all let us publicize His name,
As we await the second coming of our lord,
As we await the rapture of the world,
Let us hold up the hands of one another,
Let us cater for the household of faith, and help a brother,
Find the light of the world in JESUS CHRIST,
As we await His second coming,
Let us keep the fire burning,
Preach, teach, proclaim, declare,
Until the whole word becomes aware,
That JESU alone is the answer,
He alone can heal us from every cancer,
Which plagues our lives and our world,
As we await, let us occupy till He comes.

LOVE SO DEEP, LOVE SO TRUE

Sometimes I ponder,
At other times I wonder,
Over the depth of this love,
A love I'm sure can only be from above,
A love that loved a mess like me,
A love that loved a wretch like me,
A love that loved me for me,
And set my soul free,
It's a love so deep, a love so true,

A love it is that goes beyond man's limitation,
Cuts across the boundaries of race and ethnic restrictions,
A love that loves you regardless of your dirty pasts,
A love that can heal you regarldess of your painful pasts,
A love that is unending, unconditional, and uncompromising,
A love so true and deep, it doesn't stop calling,
On you to come to it and embrace it,
So please run to this love, so you don't regret it,
It's arms are ever open to receive you,
Just the way you are and transform you,
It's a love so deep, a love so true,

I'm not talking Eros love,
Neither do I speak of Filial love,
I'm talking of Agape love,
A sacrificial kind of love,
A love ready to give it all up for your soul,
A love that cares for your soul,
And it's not jugmental of you,
Just come to it just as you are, yes even you,
It's the love of JESUS CHRIST.
A love that suffered that you will not,
Took the pains of your sin and my sins, so we will not,
He died that you may live,
Resurrected that you will be justified, and live,
A life of righteousness, holiness and purity,
Not a life of sadness, hurt, bitterness and depravity,
Please run to this love so deep, and so true,
The love of JESUS CHRIST.
He is waiting. The choice is yours.

IF TODAY...

I remember the famous quote, "Live each day as if it is your last,"
Don't be held down by the failures of your past,
Do today that which you would have done tomorrow,
Make each moment count, always look towards tomorrow,
With hope, positivity, and optimism,
Never give room for pessimism,
If something is worth doing, it is worth doing well,
If it is not worth doing, it is not worth doing at all,
We all want to live forever,
But no one ever lives forever,
So live each day as if it was your last,

Ever though about it?
If today was your last day,
What would you do?
Would you give more?
Be more kind to your next door neighbor?
Appreciate your spouse more?
And pay more attention to the kids?
If today was your last day,
How would you live it,
Let's learn to live life right and well, so we don't regret it,
If today was your last day,
Are you sure of where you are headed after death?
And what happens to you when you lose your breath?
Really, what are the things that are important to you,
If you had one last thing to do,
What would it be?
Think about it.
For you have only one life to live, so live it to the glory of God,
For truth is amidst the debate, controversy and unbelief of non-believers,
We all would stand before God and be judged by Jesus Christ.
So what is your life worth, if you don't live for Christ?
Think about it.

BECAUSE HE SAYS SO

Sometimes in life we are discouraged,
Sometimes on this journey of life, we feel disparaged,
Either by the pains in our past,
Or by the guilt in our hearts, heavy on our chest,
For these reasons we refuse to go up,
For these reasons we fail to rise to the top,

But I've got a word for everyone out there,
Who feels the troubles of life have left them bare,
For everyone who still battles with the pains of their past,
And everyone who still carries guilt on their chest,
Regardless of your situation,
Inspite of your disposition,
You can still be what God has created you to be,
Beacause by the blood, you have been set free,
And because He (God) says so,

Yes, you may not have come from the best family,
But rejoice because you now have an even better family-Jesus family,
And you are joint heirs with the lily of the valley,
Child of the most high,
So you must rise to the top and go high,
Why? Because God says so,

Forget the mistakes of your past days,
Accept God's forgiveness, trust in the rock of ages,
For your feet He is about to raise, and place on better stages,
So quit living in self-pity or low self-esteem.
For by Jesus, you are highly esteemed,
And no matter what society, people or even the devil says,
Ignore it, and look up to the hills,
For He would keep you from bruising your heels,
Because He says so,

You will laugh again,
Smile again,
Celebrate again,
Preach again,
Win souls again,
Live even more righteously again,
For God has wiped away all your pains,
Daily loaded you with benefits, and great gains,
And you are headed for a great future,
By the words of the scripture,
Because I am that I am says so.

"THERE IS NO GOD!"

For so many years, decades gone,
For centuries to come, and generations unborn,
There has always been and will continue to be,
The question, "Is there really a God?"

As I meditate on this question,
And consider man's position,
On this matter, I can't help but ask,
Why would anyone say, "There is no God!"?

For I have considered the various unreliable theories,
Of  science, and the various mysteries,
Which it tries to unravel,
And the many secrets it tries to reveal,
But yet has failed time and time again,
And yet they fail to acknowledge the God,
Who existed even before the world began,

How can man in his fallibility and gullibility,\
Postulate a theory that disproves the existence of a higher being; it is insanity,
For even the mysteries of science to Jehovah God are simple,
Being only a glimpse of His immeasurable might,
And yet someone says, "There is no God!"

A man said to me, "show me an evidence that there is God",
I said to him, "I know I haven't seen God, no one has seen God,
But here is an eveidence that there is a God,
The existence of our world,
The creature called man,
Alongside the many wonders of Jehovah's hands,
And yet someone says, "There is no God!"

I pray to Him everyday,
He speaks to me through His spirit everyday,
I see His works in the lives of men,
How He heals, saves, forgives and restores men,
And yet someone would say, "There is no God!"

Truly speaking, it takes a fool to say, "there is no God!",
For even science knows there is only so much it can do,
Somethings science in all of its discoveries, can still not explain,
In all of its breathroughs, some events science has failed to obtain,
That  just proves man's limitations,
And the unreliability of his postulations,
Yet someone would still say, "There is no God!",

Remember the guy that said, "not even God can sink this!"?
Remember what happened to that which he spoke about?
Remember the other man that thought he could exalt himslef above Jehovah,
Not long after he lived like an animal, he learnt to worship Jehovah forever,
So don't be deceived,
Do not let this thought be conceived,
Within you, that there is no God.
Somethings we may not be able to explain,
Somethings we wonder why they happen,
But no matter what it is, it doesn't change the fact,
That there is God who rules and reigns over the affairs of men.
